Brake pad wear sensor (BPWS)

The brakes are the most important safety system of a vehicle. The brake pad wear sensor from AL-KO is the innovation in the trailer sector to 3.5 t. The BPWS constantly monitors the wear status of the brakes of your caravan. As soon as the brake pads have reached a critical wear status, the sensor gives the appropriate signal to the 2LINK Box. A notification then appears immediately and automatically on your smartphone using the 2LINK app.
Even when your brake is subjected to high loads, e.g. when driving down a mountain pass with the associated temperature increase, the sensor can withstand temperatures of up to approx. 400 °C.

2LINK App:

The brake pad wear sensor (BPWS) is only possible in conjunction with the 2LINK app. The app is available free of charge from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. The updates also take place automatically. The app also provides you with many operating instructions at your fingertips and the nearest service stations in your vicinity are displayed. 
The AL-KO Trailer Control (ATC) status display is included free of charge. Optionally, you can use the spirit level function to conveniently level the trailer (free of charge). For this purpose, the sensors must be installed in your caravan.
