AL-KO HY2 makes supporting a motorhome automatically on the axle effortless. Like the tried and tested, fully automatic HY4 levelling support system, the ‘little brother’ also impresses with perfect vehicle support, maximum operating safety and anti-theft protection. At the same time, the AL-KO HY2 has a significantly lower weight and represents a cost-effective alternative to the system with four steady legs. Retrofitting to HY4 is possible without any problems. AL-KO will present the new HY2 for the first time at CMT Stuttgart in January 2020. The system will be available from March 2020 for FIAT Ducato, Peugeot Boxer and Citroen Jumper – regardless of the inbuilt chassis.
The new hydraulic levelling support system is attached to the front or rear axle. It’s as unique as the HY4: due to the decentralised hydraulics attached in the chassis, no breakthrough in the superstructure is required. Another advantage is that no storage space is lost in the vehicle. The installation has no influence on the vehicle’s leak-proof guarantee. The system can be attached on the original chassis as well as on a hot-dip galvanised AL-KO chassis or SLC chassis and is compatible with the Air Premium X2/X4 full air suspension. With a weight of just 34 kg, the permissible payload is less affected than with other support systems. It’s possible to upgrade from HY2 to a full HY4 later. Even if the vehicle changes, the system can be easily adopted to a new vehicle.
AL-KO HY2 guarantees maximum operating safety: the two steady legs extend automatically and ensure a safe stand. The vehicle’s alignment can be programmed via the vehicle’s transverse axis. If required, the support can also be optimised by manually operating the steady legs. A freely programmable memory space is available for individual adaptation. Once the steady legs have been aligned, the integrated immobiliser protects the vehicle against theft. A child lock prevents unintentional operation.
AL-KO HY2 for FIAT Ducato, Peugeot Boxer and Citroen Jumper vans will be available from March 2020 at a price of €2,850. Installation is possible at trained and certified AL-KO dealers – or directly at the AL-KO customer centres. A later upgrade from HY2 to HY4 is offered for €3,300 – all prices are recommended retail prices including 19% VAT plus installation.
