DexKo Global Inc., global leader in highly engineered trailer running gear and chassis assemblies and related components, has expanded its Australian operations, announcing the acquisition of Melbourne Trailer and Caravan Supplies (MTCS). MTCS is an Australian family-owned business and supplier of caravan and trailer axles, leaf springs and other trailer components, serving multiple market segments across Australia since 1968. It has also been the Australian distributor for the Dexter Axle product range for over 30 years.

The international caravanning industry will be meeting from 27 August to 4 September 2016 at Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf. Right in the middle of things: AL-KO and SAWIKO will both be presenting several new and innovative products for motorhomes, vans and caravans. Look for AL-KO and SAWIKO in hall 13 at booth C45 1-2. Two years after the launch of the COMFORT SUSPENSION front axle strut for leisure vehicles based on AL-KO chassis with Fiat front end (X250), the chassis specialist AL-KO is presenting a new version at the CMT in Stuttgart: The high-performance suspension strut for the front axle is now also available for all leisure vehicles on the basis of a Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer and Citroen Jumper with leaf-sprung original chassis from model year 2006 onwards. As a result AL-KO is offering a significant improvement in driving comfort for the vast majority of leisure vehicle enthusiasts.

Unique in the leisure vehicle sector, the possibility of test driving different chassis frames at AL-KO has become successfully established. Therefore the Bavarian-Swabian vehicle technology specialists are again inviting customers to the TestDrive campaign for the third time in a row. This is aimed in particular at leisure vehicle enthusiasts looking to increase driving comfort and who would like to thoroughly test and compare the different options before making a decision.

The strategic partnership between AL-KO Vehicle Technology and Dexter launched successfully on 1 January as planned. The two companies AL-KO Vehicle Technology and Dexter Axle have been combined under the umbrella of the future "DexKo Global Inc.". AL-KO KOBER SE ceded the Vehicle Technology business unit to DexKo Global Inc. In return AL-KO KOBER SE received significant shares in the company in addition to the main shareholder The Sterling Group.
