World first AL-KO Carryback – the first extendable ball coupling for caravans

The new system offers flexible and stable use for bicycle carriers – Exclusively for special model Fendt Bianco Rosso 515 SG

An innovative highlight for campers is the ‘world first’ from AL-KO Vehicle Technology: AL-KO Carryback, the first extendable ball coupling for caravans. This solution will initially be used exclusively by the manufacturer Fendt-Caravan in the special Fendt Bianco Rosso 515 SG model that has been specially designed for weight distribution. The highlight of the system: The carrier is mounted on the coupling head, where it is needed. Either at the rear of the caravan or on the towbar of the towing vehicle when the caravan is parked at the campsite.

The stable connection of the extendable device is achieved via a reinforced floor panel with an additional cross member on the caravan chassis. When not in use, the AL-KO Carryback can be conveniently pushed under the caravan.

For Fendt-Caravan, a conventional bicycle carrier system on the rear wall was out of the question due to various disadvantages such as tightness, strength, comfort, loading height, vehicle lighting, centre of gravity position or driving dynamics. AL-KO Vehicle Technology accepted the challenge. The result is this innovative solution which is connected to the chassis and is therefore very stable and easy to load.

AL-KO Carryback – the facts:

  • Gross weight without carrier: 35 kilogrammes
  • Permitted payload: 60 kilogrammes including bicycle carrier and bicycles
  • Maximum speed when loaded: 80 km/h – when not in use, the speed limit is 100 km/h (the legal situation in the countries must be observed).
  • A separate acceptance by the TÜV is not necessary.
